Mixing in the City

Mixing in the City with London Essence and Portia Freeman. Back in November (2025), London Essence held their first Mixing in the City event. I was tasked with adapting the original London Essence logo, and creating a brand new and unique microbrand specifically for the event. As part of the microbrand, I created invites, motion graphics for social media, and event collateral such as coasters and menus.

London Essence marked the beginning of the festive season in Soho with an insightful evening with drinks expert Portia Freeman.

November 2025, premium mixer and soft drinks brand London Essence let London in on its secrets for festive hosting with an inspiring evening in collaboration with drinks expert and host extraordinaire, Portia Freeman. Its first Mixing in the City event landed at Soho hotspot, Alligator Bar at House of Louie, on Thursday 13th November 2025. For one night only, London Essence brought the perfect blend of energy and elegance to the capital for a seasonal drinks spectacle.

Opening the festive social season in style, guests sipped their way through a specially curated Christmas cocktail menu, enjoyed delectable canapés, and learned from Portia as she shared insider tips and hosting hacks to elevate at-home entertaining.

Mixing in the City lockup

In order to create an identity specific to the event, I took the original London Essence Co. logo and created a new illustrative lockup in line with the style set out for all accompanying assets.
